Privacy Policy

What information we collect, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have.

Last updated:

This Privacy Policy explains how Md Junayet Munshi (“we”, “us” or “our”), the owner and operator of Binnz at binnz.com (the “Site”), collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit the Site or contact us. It also explains the choices and rights you have.

Who we are and how to contact us

Md Junayet Munshi is the person responsible for your personal information collected through the Site (the “controller” under EU and UK data protection law). You can contact us about privacy at [email protected].

Information we collect

Information you give us.

  • Emails and messages. When you email us, we receive your email address, name (if you include it) and the content of your message and any attachments.
  • Comments. If you leave a comment, we collect the name, email address and website you enter, the comment itself, your IP address and browser user agent (to help detect spam). Your email address is not published. If you have a Gravatar account, an anonymised string created from your email address (a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to show your profile picture.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, our servers and our partners’ technologies automatically collect certain information, such as:

  • IP address and approximate location derived from it (country, region or city);
  • browser type, device type, operating system and language settings;
  • pages visited, links clicked, referring website, and the date and time of your visit;
  • cookie identifiers, advertising identifiers and similar online identifiers; and
  • information about the ads you see and whether you interact with them.

We do not ask for, and do not knowingly collect, sensitive information such as Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, health information or precise geolocation through the Site. Please do not send us this kind of information.

How we use information

  • to operate, maintain, secure and improve the Site;
  • to respond to your messages, correction requests and privacy requests;
  • to show advertising that funds the Site, including personalised advertising where permitted, and to measure ad performance;
  • to understand how the Site is used so we can improve our content;
  • to detect, prevent and investigate spam, fraud, abuse and security incidents; and
  • to comply with legal obligations and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Advertising: Google AdSense, Google Ad Manager and third-party vendors

We use Google AdSense, Google Ad Manager and Google Ad Exchange (AdX) to show ads on the Site. Through these programs, ads may be provided by Google and by third-party advertising vendors and ad networks that are authorised to buy ad space through Google.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • These vendors may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses and similar identifiers to select ads, limit how often you see an ad, measure ad performance and prevent fraud.

To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. Google’s list of ad technology partners that may serve or measure ads is available at Google’s ad partners list. Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland can also see the vendors we work with in our consent message.

Your advertising choices.

Opting out does not stop you from seeing ads; it means the ads you see will be less tailored to your interests.

Analytics

We do not currently use a third-party analytics service on this website. Our hosting provider may produce basic, aggregated statistics from server logs (such as the number of visits to a page). If we add an analytics service in the future, we will update this policy before or when it goes live.

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we use a Google-certified consent management platform to ask for your consent before we or our partners use cookies or similar technologies for personalised advertising, ad measurement and analytics where consent is required by law. You can accept, reject or customise your choices, and you can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the privacy and cookie settings link or button shown on the Site. If you do not consent, you may still see non-personalised or limited ads.

Legal bases. Under the EU GDPR and the UK GDPR we rely on: consent (for personalised advertising and non-essential cookies); legitimate interests (to run, secure and improve the Site, prevent fraud and respond to your messages); and legal obligation (to meet our legal duties).

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as described here:

  • Advertising partners, including Google and the third-party vendors described above, which collect information through cookies and similar technologies on the Site.
  • Service providers that help us run the Site, such as our web hosting, content delivery and security providers, and our email provider. They may only use the information to provide services to us.
  • Legal and safety reasons, when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law or needed to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or us.
  • Business transfers, if our business or the Site is sold, merged or reorganised, subject to this policy.

Under some US state laws, allowing advertising partners to collect information through cookies for targeted advertising may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. You can opt out as explained below and on our Your Privacy Choices page.

Your US state privacy rights

Depending on where you live and whether a law applies to us, residents of California and other US states with comprehensive privacy laws (such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon and others) may have the right to:

  • Know and access the personal information we have collected about you;
  • Correct inaccurate personal information;
  • Delete personal information we have collected from you;
  • Obtain a copy of your personal information in a portable format;
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted (cross-context behavioural) advertising;
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not knowingly collect it through the Site); and
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

California notice at collection. In the past 12 months we may have collected the following categories of personal information: identifiers (such as IP address, cookie IDs and, if you email us, your email address); internet or other electronic network activity (such as pages viewed and ad interactions); approximate geolocation; and inferences drawn from this information for advertising. We collect it from you, your device and our advertising partners, for the purposes listed in “How we use information”. We disclose identifiers, internet activity, approximate location and inferences to advertising partners, which may be considered “selling” or “sharing” under California law. We keep each category only as long as described in “Data retention”. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.

Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale and sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising for that browser, as required by applicable law. Google, our main advertising partner, also receives GPC signals from users in applicable US states and applies restricted data processing to those ad requests.

How to make a request. Email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy Request” and tell us which right you want to exercise and your state of residence. We will confirm receipt and respond within the time required by law (generally 45 days, which may be extended where permitted). To protect you, we may need to verify your identity, usually by matching information you provide with information we hold; we will not ask for more information than necessary. You may use an authorised agent, who must provide proof of your written permission.

Appeals. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing [email protected] with the subject “Privacy Appeal”. We will respond within the time required by law. If you are not satisfied with our response to your appeal, you may contact your state Attorney General.

Your rights in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our processing of your personal information, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect processing before withdrawal). To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office).

International data transfers

We, our service providers and our advertising partners may process information in the United States and other countries. Where we or our partners transfer personal information from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and its UK and Swiss extensions, where applicable.

Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. Emails and privacy requests are kept for as long as needed to deal with your message and for a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping and legal purposes. Server and security logs are kept for a limited period by our hosting and security providers. Cookies remain on your device for the period set by the cookie, unless you delete them earlier. Information collected by advertising partners is retained according to their own policies.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and software updates. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and the UK, where a higher age applies). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact [email protected] and we will delete it.

The Site links to official sources and other websites that we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we encourage you to read them.

Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting. Because there is no common industry standard for it, the Site does not respond to Do Not Track signals. We do honour Global Privacy Control signals as described above.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date. If changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice.
